2011 Black Data Processing Associate (BDPA)
High School Computer Camp
We will have the 2011 Detroit HSCC Orientation on January 29, 2011! This program is a 6-month course (Saturdays) where high school students learn website application development. For the IT-savvy, that includes HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, & SQL. They will also learn Basic Computer Knowledge, Time Management & Presentation Skills, & Teamwork. The students also have a chance to be selected to represent Detroit at the National BDPA Conference (http://www.bdpa.org) and compete against 20+ teams for awards & scholarships!
The top 5 teams are the awardees of scholarships ranging from $2500 per student to $500 per student. Our Detroit team has placed 3 times nationally in the top 5 in the last 4 years!
